Privacy Policy

Overview
Scoper ("Scoper," "we," or "us") provides a software platform that trade contractors use to collect job requests from their clients and generate quote estimates. This policy explains what information we collect when a client submits a job through a contractor's intake link, when a contractor uses the Scoper dashboard, and how that information is used, stored, and shared.
Information We Collect
When a client submits a job through an intake link, we collect:
- Contact information — name, email address, phone number, and service address
- Job details — a description of the problem, urgency, and access or timing notes
- Photos submitted to illustrate the issue
- The full text of the intake chat conversation
When a contractor creates an account, we separately collect business information (business name, labor rates, branding), login credentials, and basic usage data about how the dashboard is used.
How We Use Information
We use information collected during intake to:
- Generate an AI diagnosis and a preliminary quote range for the contractor
- Deliver the job request to the contractor the client submitted it to
- Send job-related email and SMS notifications — confirmations, scheduling, and status updates — never marketing
- Operate, secure, and improve the Scoper platform
We do not sell client contact information or use it for advertising.
AI Processing & Third-Party Providers
Chat messages, job descriptions, and photos submitted during intake are sent to a third-party AI provider (currently Anthropic) to run the intake conversation, check for emergencies, and generate a diagnosis, severity assessment, and a parts-and-labor quote estimate. That provider processes the data solely to return a result to Scoper and is bound by its own data-use terms, which limit use of submitted data to providing the service requested.
We also rely on infrastructure providers to operate the platform, including Supabase for database and file storage, and email/SMS delivery vendors. Each acts as a sub-processor on our instructions and does not use the data for its own purposes.
Data Storage & Security
Intake data — contact information, job details, photos, and chat transcripts — is stored in Supabase. Personally identifiable information is encrypted at rest, and database access is restricted by row-level security policies scoped to each contractor's account, so one contractor cannot access another contractor's clients or jobs.
Who We Share Data With
Information submitted through an intake link is shared only with the contractor the client submitted the request to, and with the service providers described in Section 4 who help us operate the platform. We do not share client data with other contractors, and we do not sell it to data brokers or advertisers.
Data Retention
We retain job and client data for as long as the associated contractor account remains active, or as needed to comply with our legal obligations. Contractors can request deletion of a client's data as described below.
Your Rights & Data Requests
To access, correct, or delete your information, start with the contractor you submitted your request to — they control the underlying job record. You can also email us directly at tmaggr@gmail.com and we will route your request or assist you directly.
Children's Privacy
Scoper is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
