Terms of Service
Effective September 30, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a job request through a Scoper intake link, or by creating a contractor account, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Scoper.
What Scoper Is (and Isn't)
Scoper is a software platform that helps trade contractors collect job requests from clients and generate quote estimates. Scoper is not a plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or other trade services provider, and is not a party to any agreement for services between a client and a contractor. The contractor performing the work is solely responsible for the quality, safety, scheduling, and completion of that work.
Quotes & Estimates
Quote ranges generated through Scoper are preliminary estimates based on the information and photos submitted during intake and an AI-assisted diagnosis. They are not a final price and not a binding offer. Final pricing is confirmed by the contractor before any work begins, and may differ from the initial estimate once the contractor inspects the job in person.
Contractor Accounts
Contractors are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials, for the accuracy of the labor rates and business information they configure, and for all activity that occurs through their account. Contractors are responsible for how they use client data received through the platform, consistent with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Scoper to:
- Submit false, fraudulent, or abusive job requests
- Attempt to access another contractor's account, clients, or job data
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation or security
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
Intellectual Property
Scoper and its logos, software, and content are owned by Scoper or its licensors. These terms do not grant you any rights to Scoper's intellectual property beyond what is needed to use the platform as intended.
Disclaimers
Scoper is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. AI-generated diagnoses and quote ranges are estimates only and are not a substitute for a contractor's professional judgment or an in-person inspection.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scoper is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, or for the acts or omissions of any contractor or client using it. Scoper's total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount, if any, paid to Scoper for the service giving rise to the claim.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use of Scoper after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
